IHR_09_19_06 Bonus Video on GarageBand

This video is formatted for the video iPod using MPEG-4 encoding. On your Mac or Windows computer, you can use iTunes or QuickTime (both free) to view it.

As we will mention on IHR #24 later this week, there is a very cool undocumented feature of GarageBand 3 where you can drag loops, samples, and even external audio files onto the onscreen keyboard, and then trigger them there or using an external MIDI controller. Paul has put together a short (2 min 47 sec) video podcast showing you how it works. If you got these notes in your podcast subscription, you can play the video in your podcatcher or iPod.

If you’re reading this on the blog, you can watch the full-size 640×480 video online (right-click or ctrl-click to save it to your computer first). You’ll need QuickTime (free) or another MPEG-4 viewer to see it.
