Cool and fun stuff
January 25th, 2007 by Derek
As I mention over at my personal blog at penmachine.com, it turns out that I have to have surgery to remove the cancer in my intestine. I’m not sure when that will happen, but all the tests and worry over the past few days have slowed down the post-NAMM blogging around here. (With all this going on, I’m sure glad I went and had so much fun at NAMM, and that my wife and kids came down and went to Disneyland too!)
Anyway, to pick things up a tad, here are some fun links I’ve accumulated over the past few months:
- Weird celebrity patents, including Eddie Van Halen’s flip-up belt-mounted guitar stand, which features a priceless big-haired Eddie diagram.
- The worst album covers ever (via Alistair).
- The New York Times on “mashup culture” (via Dave Winer).
- Some good advice for potential podcast sponsors (via Robert Scoble).
