Sounds Good! – episode 8
January 6th, 2007 by Paul
I’m a big fan of Hens Zimmerman’s podcast, Sounds Good. He does a great job discussing recording techniques and regularly features DAW software such as Logic and Pro Tools and many interesting 3rd party plug-ins on his show. I find that I learn something new from each episode.
In his very 1st video podcast (#8), he discusses Logic Pro’s convolution reverb Space Designer, 3rd party IR responses, and even how to create your own IR response and load it into the Space Designer plug-in.
Sounds Good is part of the Home Recording Network, and is a very worthwhile listen (and now look) not only Logic and Pro Tools users, but anyone recording on their computers. Personally, I hope that Hens produces more of these video podcasts ;) You can check out Hen’s podcast at: http://soundsgood.37hz.net/

I agree. I’ve learned a bunch about Logic listening to his podcasts. Thanks Hens!

I’m amazed at the work Hens puts into his shows, and the depth of knowledge he has. Anyone who subscribes to IHR should also have Sounds Good on their list, I think. Some of his techniques are beyond what I would normally think of using, but just knowing what you can do has value in itself.

I agree that it is a fantastic podcast, with some great “mid to advanced” tips and techniques in there as well.
