Whacky new FREEEEE Plugin
May 14th, 2009 by Dave
In the continued absence of PSN and the hope that they’ll be back soon, I thought it might be cool to post a link to a free plugin from the folks over at Ohm Force – the people who brought you yet another free and “useful” plugin called “Frohmage“.
They’ve posted a link to their latest no-cost offering on their blog: Cohmpost
According to the blog post:
“You NEED some Cohmpost in your music.”
There is not any “useful” information about what the plugin actually does, but suffice it to say, the offerings from Ohm Force are in the same vein as Audio Damage: making instruments and plugins for remix and general interesting sonic weirdness. Cohmpost does a great job at just that – there’s some distortion, filtering, bit-crushing happening – I just can’t seem to figure out what the “beef“, “red wine” and “Nuclear Power” (both switch positions say “yes”) controls actually map to.
The blog post states:
For your information, no kittens were harmed while creating the Cohmpost (just a bit ruffled, promise). Lawyer warning : Please do not use Ohm Force Cohmpost Mac version unless you totally agree with the license agreement.
For those interested, here is a screenshot of the aforementioned license agreement:
