Beatles multitracks examined
October 12th, 2009 by Derek
These multitrack deconstructions from the BBC of three Beatles recordings (“She’s Leaving Home,” “A Day in the Life,” and “Come Together”) are just as informative as the Stevie Wonder breakdown that Slau did on his podcast a few months ago. They’re all amazing lessons on how to work within the limitations of the era’s tape machines.
As long as you’re a set of musical geniuses working in wonderful rooms with great mics, gear, producers, and engineers, recording some of the best songs ever, of course.
